Our friend Emi Uemura is doing a very nice project in Beijing now, we may just have to leave the hutong one of these days just to get into delivery range of her yummy meals. If you are in the CBD the next weeks and feel hungry, we do recommend!

as informed from Vitamin Creative Space‘s the shop, host of “Japanese bento lunch delivery Aikun“:

As you are a neighbor with your offices located in the CBD, I wanted to invite you and your colleagues to take part. Zhang Wei told me that you might also be a good person to connect to the 2×4 design office. Would you be able to spread this information around to those you know or work with in the CBD?

On each appointed day, Emi will deliver lunch boxes in special packaging across the Central Business District (CBD).
The meals are each carefully made by hand, and limited in number to 5 individuals per day.
The meals and the packaging (basket and hand-stitched cloth) are a form of extended communication space, and are intended to give the people who place orders the means and inspiration to re-use and bring their own lunches to the CBD.
Emi has found that the CBD’s eating culture could be approached in more creative and healthier ways; lunchtime can be an art space.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
